Known as one of Canberra’s top commercial litigators, Maurice combines his technical skill with the wisdom and pragmatism that comes from years of hands-on experience in resolving complex disputes. His diverse client base includes local Canberra businesses, large private companies, publicly listed corporations, and national superannuation funds.
Before transitioning to the legal profession, Maurice built a successful career in commercial construction, both at a contractor and consultant level, and is a qualified quantity surveyor. His previous role as President of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (Canberra) underscores his extensive expertise in the field. This unique background adds significant value to his construction and property development clients.
Prior to joining Gadens, Maurice led the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team at one of Canberra’s top firms for nearly two decades, managing a broad portfolio of disputes with an emphasis on business, property, planning, insolvency and of construction law disputes.
