James has over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of banking, restructuring, turnaround and insolvency law. James regularly advises Australia’s leading lenders, non-bank lenders and debt funds, insolvency practitioners and corporates in relation to financing arrangements, informal workouts, external administrations, insolvency litigation, security enforcement, and related issues including safe harbour and directors’ duties.
James is a full member of ARITA, Insol and the TMA.

- Major financial institutions and non-bank lenders in relation to various significant corporate loan exposures and debt restructurings – this involves work ranging from consensual restructurings, refinancings, drafting forbearance and standstill arrangements, to the enforcement of securities
- KPMG as administrators of LJ Hooker
- Dinimus Capital Fund (DCF) in connection with the recapitalisation of Rapid Loans through a deed of company arrangement
