Emma is a Law Institute of Victoria Accredited Specialist in workplace relations.
Emma provides commercial and pragmatic advice to corporate and individual clients across an extensive range of employment and industrial relations matters, including termination of employment and restructuring, employment contracts, performance management, discrimination, transfer of business, confidentiality breaches and restraint of trade.
Emma regularly represents clients in unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims in courts and tribunals and conducts workplace investigations into often complex misconduct and bullying allegations.
She also advises on award and agreement compliance issues, including on dealing with underpayment claims and liaising with the Fair Work Ombudsman.
As a former Associate to a Fair Work Commissioner, Emma also has extensive experience with Fair Work Commission matters, including industrial disputes and enterprise bargaining. She advises on all aspects of the enterprise agreement making process, represents clients during negotiations and has an in-depth understanding of the bargaining framework under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
