Caroline specialises in the commercialisation, exploitation, management, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Australia, with a particular interest in intellectual property protection in China and other key international markets.
Caroline is highly experienced in the areas of copyright, trade marks, designs, misleading and deceptive conduct, passing off, trade secrets, the misuse of confidential information, domain names and anti-counterfeiting programs. She has acted in high profile cases concerning these rights in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Federal Court (including on appeal) and High Court over her career.
Caroline provides commercial, strategic advice to Australian businesses (small to large) and global brands on all aspects of brand protection and manages intellectual property portfolios for clients in the retail, manufacturing, technology, FMCG, health and consumer goods industries.
Caroline’s recent background includes in-house roles as Senior Legal Adviser in the Growth, Partnerships and Procurement and Privacy teams at Bupa Health Insurance and Commercial Lawyer at Australian brand, b.box.
In 2015, Caroline was ranked in the Intellectual Property ‘Rising Stars’ category published by Doyles Guide, which is client/peered nominated.
