Antoine has a breadth of experience in intellectual property and technology law, as well as in corporate advisory and trade practices. He has a background of over 30 years’ experience in the law including periods as an in-house legal adviser in IT and IP matters with a major bank and an Australian airline.

Antoine’s particular focus is on commercial contracting relating to communications, advertising, infrastructure rollout and maintenance, information technology, licensing and manufacturing, product distribution, and outsourcing. He is a strong communicator and spends time understanding his clients and their businesses in order to best serve their needs. He often presents at seminars and conferences conducted by legal education providers, and to clients.

His clients include a number of leading providers of technology and products, as well as companies involved in retailing, advertising, the construction, rollout and maintenance of Australia’s communications networks and public infrastructure, and in the clean energy, engineering and healthcare industries, as well as a number of leading Victorian educational institutions and bodies.

Since 2014, each year Antoine has been nominated and selected as a Best Lawyer in the areas of Education and Information Technology by Best Lawyers Australia, and from 2020 onwards in the area Competition Law and from 2021 in the area of Privacy and Data Security Law. Antoine has also been recognised as a recommended lawyer in the Doyle’s Guide listing of Technology, Media & Telecommunications Lawyers in Victoria in the 2020 and 2021 editions, and in numerous Intellectual Property listings since 2015 (2015, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021).

He is also a member of the legal practitioner panel for the Ad Standards Industry Jury and his professional affiliations include membership of the Victorian Society for Computers and Law.
