Gadens is “on board” with Myriad – a premier technology and innovation festival being held in Brisbane next month.
The Queensland Government has partnered with Qantas to charter a 747 aircraft to fly 360 entrepreneurs and investors from the world’s epicentre of start-ups and venture capital, Silicon Valley, to Brisbane on May 12 for the Myriad Festival. Bill Maris, Founding CEO of Google Ventures, will be among the passengers.
Gadens has signed on as a key sponsor of “Myriad Air” and three senior Partners from our Corporate Advisory team in Brisbane, accompanied by some of the firm’s clients, will travel to San Francisco to attend a series of events before boarding the flight bound for the “River City”.
Corporate Advisory Partner, Andrew Hynd said: “Myriad is a celebration of creativity and innovation and we’re looking forward to networking and collaborating with some of the world’s most influential thinkers, entrepreneurs and innovators.”
The Myriad Festival will be held in Brisbane from May 16 to 18 at the RNA Showgrounds, with seven themes that will explore the future of food, health, culture, play, work, cities and money.
Queensland has a rapidly growing entrepreneurial ecosystem, highlighted by the opening last year of ‘The Precinct’, located in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, which brings together start-ups, incubators, investors and mentors under the one roof.
“Gadens has been actively involved at The Precinct since its opening – as a firm we’re committed to supporting the start-up community and championing the state’s digital economy,” Mr Hynd said.
