News | Gadens is on the move in Sydney to 8 Chifley Square

On Monday, 3 June 2024, the Gadens office in Sydney will move into new office space at 8 Chifley Square. With its unmistakable red ‘suspender’ beams, and continuous motion of the digital art installation by Jenny Holzer, 8 Chifley Square is an ‘indelible part’ of the Sydney CBD.

“Our move to 8 Chifley Square is a pivotal moment for Gadens. We now have over 100 lawyers and people in Sydney and the continued growth in Sydney is a key strategic priority for the firm. Relocating to an office right in the centre of some of the city’s leading advisors, law firms and corporates – and within a stone’s throw of the Courts and Parliament – shows where we want to position our firm and the importance of the NSW market to us”, says CEO Mark Pistilli. “This is an exciting development for the Gadens office in Sydney. It is exactly where you would expect to find a leading Australian law firm, and our clients will now experience offices of the type you would expect to find at that calibre of law firm.”

8 Chifley is a 30 storey commercial building surrounded by retail precincts. With a focus on environmental sustainability, the building has achieved 6 Star Green Star rating. Further sustainable technologies ensure that the building exceeds Australia’s highest Green Star environmental certification, and its carbon emissions are at least 50% less than those of a typical Sydney CBD office.

Gadens’ tenancy will occupy the top three floors and roof terrace, overlooking Sydney Harbour. With a flexible fitout designed with collaboration at its heart – driven through technology and purpose-built spaces for client engagement and working environments that support team collaboration – our new premises will contribute to ensuring that our clients continue to be supported in the way that Gadens is known and respected for.
