2020 continues to be an interesting year with COVID-19 still impacting our lives and businesses, although we are cautiously optimistic that we may be turning a corner here in Australia.

In this edition of FMCG Express, we bring you some useful COVID-19 reading as we grapple with the ongoing effects of the pandemic and look to transition to a ‘COVID normal’ environment; from issues of JobKeeper in defining casual workers, to what to do if your customer is unable to meet its payments, and considerations for privacy and cyber security.

We also provide some tips on IP letters of demand and look at recent happenings in the consumer law world, including upcoming changes to the definition of ‘consumer’ under the Australian Consumer Law, new disclosure obligations to consumers in New South Wales and we provide some guidance on online sales and promotions.

If you would like to discuss any queries regarding this edition or if you have any other feedback, please do get in touch.
