Gadens acted for Tim Roberts -Thomson’s TRT Pastoral Group in the sale of Juanbung and Boyong stations in western New South Wales.
With over 55km of frontage to the Murrumbidgee River, the parcel of land covers 33,000ha of grazing land and wetlands that have been used for backgrounding over 10,000 cattle a year. Home to one of the largest privately owned River Red Gum forests in the world, the aggregation has access to a 13,500MI supplementary water entitlement and also services the Juanbung Mill firewood and charcoal business.
Gadens was engaged to advise on all aspects of the sale including in respect to both stations, plant and equipment and the associated water licences as well as the assets of the Juanbung Mill firewood business.

Deal significance: The sale of Juanbung and Boyong Stations demonstrates the strong investment into rural property and grazing land in Australia. The purchasers, Tiverton Agriculture and conservation group, The Nature Conservancy intend on preserving the land and continuing the operation of Juanbung Mill in the production of firewood.
