Meet our People

Lionel Hogg is the head of our Corporate Advisory Group in Brisbane and is a key member of our Government Services Team. He has twenty five years of partner experience and a wide-ranging commercial practice, particularly in major contracts, having drafted a number of industry-standard agreements in various sectors.

His recent work includes –

• Acting for major gas infrastructure owners and gas producers in various development, transactional and regulatory matters
• Governance review for a major Australian superannuation fund
• Advising government on new programs and legislative powers

Lionel also has a long-standing passion for arts, entertainment and sports and has, for many years, advised on some landmark corporate sponsorship deals, film production and major events.

He is recognised by Chambers Global and Chambers Asia-Pacific for his work in Oil and Gas and was voted a “Best Lawyer” in Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Energy Law, Mining Law and Oil and Gas Law since 2013.

Lionel holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford.
