Peter has 26 years’ experience in tax, and was previously a specialist Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Tax Partner at KPMG and served as chair of KPMG’s Global M&A Tax practice.

Peter’s experience encompasses roles in the tax structuring and/or tax due diligence for circa 500 transactions, covering all transaction sizes and industry sectors with a weighting towards private equity, natural resources, property and infrastructure.

The transaction profiles cover inbound investment by private equity managers, other private investors and multinational corporations, as well as Australian multinational corporations and funds investing offshore and wholly domestic transactions.

Since 2014, each year Peter has been nominated and selected as a Best Lawyer in the areas of Government Practice and Tax.
