Mitchell is an experienced legal professional specialising in technology, cyber and privacy law. He regularly advises the Australian and State Governments in relation to cyber breaches, data security, privacy, intellectual property licences, information technology contracts, procurement processes, and regulatory issues.

For more than a decade, Mitchell has provided legal advice and assistance on some of the Commonwealth Government’s most significant projects. Mitchell’s clients recognise him for his prompt and pragmatic advice which facilitates both decision making and the understanding of risk.

Before working in the legal industry, Mitchell was employed as an IT professional providing support to the private sector and government. His unique background working in both the IT industry and as a specialist Privacy and Information Technology lawyer has provided him with the technical expertise necessary to provide accurate and practical legal advice on complex technology arrangements and emerging technologies.
